The work focused on the creation of three different sizes of boiler that can already be used in the home. VisMadia, installed in a 100 m2 apartment, in a municipality in climate zone F, would be used at least 3000 hours a year, presenting the following advantages compared to traditional boilers:
• Production of electricity at zero cost
The cost of additional fuel gas consumption is absorbed by the tax relief applied to gas for cogeneration use (VAT at 10% instead of 22%)
• Using Vismadia for more than 3000 hours/year leads to greater savings also achieved on the cost of gas (compared to the cost of gas used by a traditional or condensing boiler for equivalent thermal needs)
• Savings of €1000/year. It is the saving achieved in one year with the current (3) tariffs (30 c€/kWh) through self-production and self-consumption of electricity
• Un impiego superiore alle 3000 h/anno consentirebbe di conseguire risparmi superiori
• Increases in gas and electricity tariffs would lead to savings greater than those indicated (relating to February 2022) as the increase in the cost of electric kWh is always higher than the increase in the cost of thermal kWh of gas (around 1 tenth of the cost of the cubic meter of gas)
The purchase and use of VisMadia is facilitated by the following incentives:
• VAT reduced at 10% on the purchase price
• 65% discount on the purchase price, currently already present for condensing boilers
• 110% bonus on the purchase price
• VAT reduction for the purchase of fuel
Costs VisMadia
Considering the incentives, the purchase of the boiler would require a private individual to make a maximum net investment of around €6,000, which, achieving a saving of €1100/year, would be recovered in less than 6 years.
Maintenance VisMadia
The technology used in the construction of the boiler requires minimal maintenance and its state of integrity over time allows for a life of 15/20 years.
